I surrender all.

Tonight my heart broke, and I could not stop crying as I prayed for people that I have met in Union Square. And I just started to think about how often we as Christians walk right past the harvest everyday! The disciples prayed for harvest hands! For workers! But how often do we go about out daily lives with idle hands and “look over the crowd” and turn a blind eye. How often do we forget that we were one part of the crowd, that we were once the broken, the thief, the liar, the cheat, the adulterer, the beggar, etc. Jesus brought us out of that and it’s true that we could never repay him. But my goodness seeing what the hope you have now, the future you have now, should make us want to go running towards the crowd, it should make us want to Harvest the Hurting. To show them that Jesus heals bruised lives!
It is amazing to be focused on your personal relationship with Jesus and your personal growth, but recognize that he didn’t heal your bruised life, your hurt, your sickness, your pain, and so much more so that you could sit around and hope that one day others can experience it. No! Get out there and love, and show compassion, and let people know where you have come from by the grace of God. Too often we look at that passage in Matthew 9 and pray for more workers… But WE are the workers, go HARVEST THE HURTING!

Excuse my yelling, Jesus just got me all worked up :)

You took the fault.
You took the blame.
You took my sin.
You took my shame.
Christ alone, Cornerstone.

I would rather be overworked and exhausted from serving others than comfortable and complacent from serving myself.

What a moment you have brought me to. Such a freedom I have found in you.

My new friend Wendell.

Today was fantastic:

- Free one hundred on a quiz

- Got to pray for a lot of people:

K and T: Mother and daughter, the mother has been sick for three years and is in a lot of pain! Her husband could not deal with it anymore, and after 20 years of marriage left her and her daughter. The daughter is still in middle school and spends all of her time in school worrying that she is going to get a call that says her mom is dead, which is affecting her grades, giving her bad anxiety, and she no longer believes that there is a God who loves her.

Carlos: A baby in Christ (5 weeks!) who is getting baptized tomorrow, and just needs the strength to continue to change his lifestyle.

Teng: New to NY and is missing his family, and is having a hard time adjusting to NYC because it is….different.

Bob: For his relationships….he is looking for his future wife but can’t get over his last girlfriend.

Wendell: My new fav friend, who is a homeless fashion designer who put me to work with lining up fabric while we talked about his life. He believes in God but says he only needs him when something is wrong. He believes God has healed him numerous times in the past, but puts him on the back burner when he feels he’s doing good. So we prayed for a relationship with him and healing for his hand…while he smoked his weed lol…but I know he considers me cool, because he made everyone pay just to have a picture with him, then he took one with me for free…I will see him next week!
